Certainly it is nice to represent with smoking hot sexy abs. No doubt they look good on those hot summer days when you want to show off a bit, get some sun and have fun in the sand and surf. You feel confident, sexy and proud. But frankly, sexy abs are more than just good looks. A strong, toned core represents good health, proper nutrition and fitness prowess.

And contrary to common believe, sexy abs are not made in the gym. Abs are made in the KITCHEN.

Not everyone will have a six pack. In fact, I’d say that most will not. Though genetically available to most everyone, including women, to truly have those washboard cuts demands a lifestyle that simply is not sustainable for most of us. But a 6 pack is not the definition of sexy abs anyway. Flat, tight and toned abs are sexy for sure and those can be achieved and sustained by all!

So how are they made?

As the title says, “sexy abs are made in the kitchen”. So many people crunch their lives away in the gym in hopes of those elusive abs yet when they walk into the kitchen they completely undo the work they’ve done. They bury those hard earned abs beneath a veil of poor food choices.

I’m not denying that crunches and other ab movements forge a nice set of abs. But I am saying that unless your nutrition is on key, those abs will never be seen. So, if sexy abs are your goal, realize that you don’t need to do a million crunches. Work your abs like any other muscle group and when you walk in the kitchen, eat for sexy abs not necessarily a 6 pack. What does that mean?

Lean Protein

Quality lean proteins are critical for every meal and snack of the day! Protein is the building block of muscle and muscle is the number 1 fat burning machine. So fuel up all day on quality, lean, animal and plant based proteins, watch the fat melt away and those sexy abs begin to unveil themselves.

Complex Carbs

Carbs will bury those abs faster than you can blink. I’m not endorsing a carb free nutritional strategy. What I will encourage is proper timing of quality carb consumption. Carbs are for energy. Eat them when energy is required and they won’t end up stored for a later date that seldom comes when energy is high and carbs are depleted. For most in the modern world, carbs are abundant and lifestyles are far too sedentary to expend them. That results in an increasingly large storehouse of fat that is never used. Change that and you’ll discover your hard earned sexy abs you’ve been working on in gym.

Fat

Contrary to common modern belief, fat does not make you fat. Poor quality fats along with refined cards and fatty proteins eaten in excessive portions make you fat. The truth of fat is that when quality is the determining factor in their consumption, cholesterol is reduced, organ function improves and yes, even those coveted sexy abs will appear.

Simply stated, abs are “revealed” in the kitchen.

You can do what you want in the gym and until your nutrition is correct, those sexy abs will never appear short of some genetic miracle.
